Compare 2007 - 2009

Production
Due to expanding production capacities of the PVC installation in Włocławek to 300 thousand tonnes per year, the chemical segment of ORLEN Group was able to offer unlimited amounts of the product to the dynamically developing Polish and Czech markets. The key recipient of polyvinyl chloride from the plants in Włocławek (Poland) and Neratowice (Czech Republic) was the construction industry, in particular window and pipe manufacturers.

Market Shares
In 2007, the total share of the chemical segment in the domestic PVC market amounted to approximately 48 percent, appr. 3 percent more than in 2006. The share of the chemical segment in the Czech PVC market in the report period was approximately 12 percent, representing a 27 percent decrease in comparison to the performance in the preceding year.

Investments
The most important investment in the PVC area was ANWIL SA commencing works related to increasing
the annual production capacity of the polyvinyl chloride production plant from 300 to 340 thousand tonnes. As a result of expansion of the production complex in Włocławek, in 2008 ANWIL Group expects to maintain its shares in the Polish PVC market at a level of approximately 50 percent and signifi cantly strengthen its position in the Czech Republic. In Spolana, the most important investment in the PVC area was modernisation of the cracking furnace in the polyvinyl chloride production plant, which enabled to increase production capacities of the plant from 135 to 150 thousand tonnes per year.
