Recommend to a friendIn 2007, ORLEN Group handled over 3.1 million tonnes of products in maritime ports in Poland and Lithuania, that is approximately 1.6 million tonnes less than in 2006. The reduction in volume resulted from decreased production in AB Mažeikių Nafta after the failure of the vacuum column in the Lithuanian refinery plant.
Poland
In 2007, PKN ORLEN SA carried out maritime cargo handling in ports in Gdynia, Świnoujście and Dębogórze, through which it transported around 537 thousand tonnes of engine fuels and 620 thousand tonnes of non-fuel products, mainly heavy heating oil. The total volume of products reloaded in 2007 by PKN ORLEN in Polish maritime ports was two times higher than in 2006.
Lithuania
The maritime cargo handling of products by AB Mažeikių Nafta in 2007 was carried out using the infrastructure of the port in Klaipèda, and the volume of products was 2 million tonnes i.e. 2.2 million tonnes less than in 2006. The decrease in volume resulted from limitations in production at the MN Refinery Plant related to the failure and repair of the vacuum column.
