Storage Facilities

In 2007 AB Mažeikių Nafta used 5 storage facilities in the territory of Lithuania in the following locations:

• Subačius – mandatory reserves and trade inventories,
• Vilnius – trade inventories,
• Kaunas – mandatory reserves,
• Jonava – trade inventories,
• own Mažeikių Nafta road tanker terminal – fuel loading.

Rail Transport
Due to the lack of its own rolling stock, in 2007 AB Mažeikių Nafta commissioned the transport of approximately 4 million tonnes of its own products to external entities operating in the territory of Lithuania.

Maritime Cargo Handling
The maritime cargo handling of products by AB Mažeikių Nafta in 2007 was carried out using the infrastructure of the port in Klaipèda, and the volume of products was 2 million tonnes i.e. 2.2 million tonnes less than in 2006. The decrease in volume resulted from limitations in production at the MN Refi nery Plant related to the failure and repair of the vacuum column.
