In the territory of the Czech Republic, PKN ORLEN manages a network of 326 stations in the premium and economy segments, the same as other outlets of the Group in the region. In 2007, 82 stations complied with the highest requirements of the Benzina Plus brand offering the best quality services and a wide range of non-fuel products. The most demanding customers were also able to buy Verva ON enriched diesel oil and Verva 100 petrol at these stations. More than half of the premium segment stations offered Bistro-Minute food services to travellers.

The segment of 244 Benzina economy stations focused its activities on providing price range competitiveness
while simultaneously ensuring the quality of the fuels sold.

In 2007, all stations in the Czech Republic operated according to the CODO (company-owned, dealer-operated) formula. Within 12 months, the whole retail network sold a total of 620 million litres of fuels. In the framework of the whole Benzina network, customers were able to use Tank Cards and Grand Cards allowing non-cash purchase of fuels and selected products at premium and economy segment stations. In the previous year, customers carrying out transactions with the use of non-cash cards purchased 21 percent fuels more than in the preceding year. The number of cards issued to new customers in that period increased by nearly 250.

In 2007, Benzina a.s., managing the fuel stations in the Czech Republic, generated operating profit of PLN 58 million, i.e. 19 percent higher than in the preceding year. Network share in the domestic retail market increased from 11.8 percent in 2006 to 13.1 percent as at the end of 2007. By the end of 2009, the company plans to increase its share of the Czech retail market to 20 percent.
