Recommend to a friendIn 2007, the ORLEN Group oil segment consisted of ORLEN Oil in Poland and Paramo a.s. in the Czech Republic. The segment included production installations in Płock, Trzebinia, Jedlicze and Pardubice and Kolin.
The production of the whole ORLEN Group oil segment totalled almost 405.3 thousand tonnes in 2007 and was approximately 6.5 percent lower than in 2006. The volume of lubricants and base oils produced in 2007 amounted to over 210.5 thousand tonnes and constituted more than 51.9 percent of the total production of the plants in Poland and the Czech Republic.
During the report period, yield of by-products such as extracts and slack wax, and other operating fluids and automobile cosmetics was over 194.7 thousand tonnes, approximately 32 thousand tonnes less than in the preceding year.
The main reason for the decrease in the production volume in 2007 was the planned overhaul of the oil block installation in Płock. The positive factor mitigating the adverse effects of the maintenance standstills was the structure of production and sales allowing the generation of a higher output of high-margin products to the disadvantage of other products.
